BreathiZen respiratory wellness oral spray bottle

Most respiratory supplements make you work to find out what you are swallowing: a dozen ingredients, a long blend, a label that reads like a chemistry quiz. BreathiZen goes the other way. Its Supplement Facts panel lists three active ingredients, and you can read the whole thing in under a minute.

A short label is easy to read. It still raises one important question: how much are you actually getting of each ingredient? We answer that first — then break down what each extract is and what else is in the bottle.

Quick Verdict

BreathiZen contains three botanical extracts — Mullein leaf (10:1), Ginger root, and Organic Lemon — in a 154 mg proprietary blend per serving. The label names every active ingredient and gives the blend total, but not the amount of each extract. One serving is 4 sprays (0.60 mL), once a day, and a bottle holds 100 servings.

What the BreathiZen Label Actually Says

Marketing pages can change. The Supplement Facts panel is the clearest place to see what the product actually lists — so that’s where we start.

The Three Active Ingredients, One by One

Three ingredients means each one carries real weight in the formula. Here is what each one is, and what is known about it.

01 · Listed first on the label

Mullein Leaf Extract (10:1)

Mullein is a tall flowering plant whose leaves have been used for generations in teas and tinctures associated with respiratory comfort. The leaf contains mucilage and saponins, the compounds most often discussed in the published literature on the plant.

The “10:1” on the label is an extraction ratio: roughly ten parts of leaf were used to make one part of extract. It tells you the extract is concentrated. It does not tell you the level of any specific compound, because the label does not state a standardization.

Mullein is also the first active ingredient listed on the BreathiZen label, which makes it the one that stands out most immediately when you look at the formula.

02 · The most researched of the three

Ginger Root Extract

Ginger is one of the most widely used botanicals in the world, in food and in supplements. Its best-known compounds, gingerols and shogaols, have been studied extensively for antioxidant and inflammation-related activity.

That research covers ginger as an ingredient, at various doses and in various forms. The label does not give an extraction ratio or an individual amount for the ginger in BreathiZen.

That makes Ginger an interesting second component of the formula — familiar and well studied as a botanical, but subject to the same dosing limitation here, because the label does not disclose its individual amount.

03 · Completes the blend

Organic Lemon Extract

The third ingredient is an organic citrus extract. Lemon is a familiar source of plant compounds such as flavonoids, and it is the only ingredient on the label marked organic.

The label gives no further detail on the lemon extract — no ratio and no named compound — so we do not assign it a specific role beyond what the label states.

That gives BreathiZen a very short three-extract formula, with Lemon serving as the final named botanical rather than one line in a long ingredient list.

The 154 mg Blend: What It Tells You and What It Doesn’t

This is the one point where a short label still leaves a gap. BreathiZen discloses a single number for its actives: 154 mg per serving for the three extracts combined.

What you can work out. Ingredients inside a proprietary blend are listed in descending order by weight. Mullein leaf extract is therefore the largest share of the 154 mg, Ginger root comes second, and Organic Lemon is the smallest.

What you cannot work out. The exact milligrams of each extract. That means you cannot line up the ginger in BreathiZen against the dose used in a particular ginger study, for example.

A proprietary blend is common in this category and is permitted on supplement labels. It is simply a fact to weigh: you know exactly which three extracts you are getting and in what order, and you evaluate the formula as a whole. No clinical trial of the finished BreathiZen spray has been published; the available research relates to the individual ingredients.

The Other Ingredients: What Makes It a Spray

A liquid spray needs more than its active extracts, and the rest of the label shows what carries, flavors, and preserves the formula.

Purified water and glycerin form the liquid base; glycerin can also contribute a mildly sweet taste. Natural flavors and citric acid are used for flavor, while potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate are listed as preservatives.

If you have a known sensitivity to any of these ingredients, this is the part of the label worth checking before your first use.

Three on the Label: Which List to Trust

Some BreathiZen marketing material describes additional ingredients beyond the three above. The Supplement Facts label we reviewed lists three: Mullein, Ginger, and Organic Lemon.

Our rule is the same for every product on this site: the label on the bottle wins. Everything on this page is based on that three-ingredient label. When your order arrives, compare the panel on your bottle with the list above.

BreathiZen Dosage: How to Take It

The directions are as short as the formula. Shake the bottle well before each use, then spray 4 pumps directly into your mouth or onto your tongue, once daily. The label says not to exceed the recommended dose and to store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from heat, light, and humidity.

The label does not specify a time of day. It does carry one caution: pregnant or nursing mothers, anyone under 18, and people with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement.

What Makes This Formula Different

BreathiZen isn’t trying to impress you with a long ingredient list. Its appeal is almost the opposite: three named extracts, a clear daily serving, and a spray you can use in seconds. You know what the three active ingredients are, you know the total blend amount, and you know exactly how the label tells you to use it.

The trade-off is straightforward: the label gives you the 154 mg total, but not the individual milligrams for each extract. That matters if precise per-ingredient dosing is your top priority. But if what you want is a short formula you can actually understand, a simple once-daily routine, and no long list of ingredients to decode, that simplicity is the point.
